WaterRower Rowing Machine Oak Performance: new technology – proven quality

The WaterRower Rowing Machine Oak Performance is the newest member of the WaterRower family. WaterRower has equipped the Performance Ergometer with selected components for even more power and comfort on the classic water rowing machine. The result is an extremely advanced rowing ergometer that already combines all the important functions for performance-oriented rowing training.

SmartRow – the best feedback on your workout

With the WaterRower Rowing Machine Oak Performance, you can compare your workouts against professional standards with the highest precision. This is made possible by the intelligent SmartRow pulley, which replaces the S4 performance monitor on the Performance Ergometer. This offers you completely new training evaluation and tracking possibilities. The built-in strain gauge can convert the force generated during your workout into a measurable and tangible unit (watts) with 100% accuracy – regardless of how much water is in the tank. This means that you can always compare your performance, no matter how much water you use or which Performance Ergometer you are training on.

You can send all newly-acquired training values directly to your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth® and display them in the WaterRower SmartRow app. Among other things, the app analyses every rowing stroke precisely and graphically displays this in a force curve, which you can use to optimise your stroke technique. Another advantage of the app is that you can save your previous workouts in the history. These functions put all the relevant information such as time, distance, number of strokes, calories burned and watts at your fingertips, thereby offering an ideal way to monitor your training progress. The SmartRow app is available for both Android and iOS devices. It also allows coupling to Apple Health and Strava. Coupling a water rowing machine with an app is an innovative new feature.

In order to get optimal use of the SmartRow technology, the Performance Ergometer already includes the WaterRower Smartphone and Tablet Holder (140–206 mm). So you always have your training data in your sights, or you can watch films and series while you workout.

Note: although the classic WaterRower can be retrofitted with SmartRow technology, this requires the user to replace the deflection pulley with the SmartRow pulley. With the Performance Ergometer, you save yourself this step because the SmartRow pulley is already installed.

Even more rowing comfort – for tall rowers, too!

In addition to the SmartRow technology and tablet holder, the WaterRower Rowing Machine Oak Performance offers additional equipment that makes rowing training more comfortable.

This includes the XL rails, for example, which make training more comfortable for people over 2 m tall. Tall users can sit back and relax on the extended rails without restriction. There is also a special foot plate with professional foot straps. The handle on the Performance Ergometer is also new: it is wider and therefore more comfortable – especially for taller users.
